HAZE 67 FUZZ

GERMANIUM TRANSISTORS

The Haze 67 Fuzz is our tweaked/optimized version of the Tonebender MK 1.5 / Fuzz Face circuit. Some resistors and capacitors values were changed and Steve developed a 3-way resistor switch system that is not a bias control but changes the amplification, which allows a player to choose between 3 gain-stages. We offer a wide range of legendary GERMANIUM transistors that were used either in a Tonebender or Fuzz Face. This offers tons of tonal possibilities to create hybrid-like or, *best of both worlds* sounds in only one pedal.
Handmade boards made out of vulcanized fiberboards, each eyelet is pressed by hand as with the good old tube amps. Only cloth wiring, handmade battery contacts made out of the remains of empty batteries, fiberboard and cloth wire (upcycling).

Pre-selected by perfect measured values and matched by ear pairs of transistors combined with selected NOS and high-end parts, makes each Haze67Fuzz unique and reliable for professional usage. A pedal that is very sensitive to a players fingers and attack, acting more like an instrument than *just* another pedal in the signal chain. Great clean and breakup, shiny and sparkly clean tones, classy rhythm and legendary Fuzz tones that won’t decay, crumble or sound like a saw. All enclosures are carefully painted, screen printed and aged by hand. Each is unique!

All bags and cardboards are made and printed in Salzburg to support local businesses!

We offer a STANDARD and PREMIUM version in either a small or big enclosure.

HAZE 69 FUZZ

SILICON TRANSISTORS

The Haze 69 Fuzz is our tweaked/omtimized version of the Tonebender MK 1.5/ Fuzz Face circuit but with very rare and low gain Mullard SILICON transistors instead of germaniums! We’ve changed and added some resistors and capacitors values, using Steve’s developed 3-way resistor switch system known from the Haze67Fuzz and created probably the most germanium-like sounding fuzz ever made. As we had many 60’s silicon Fuzzes for repair/mods over the years (and in our collection too), we`ve learned that the BC models used back in the days, had, compared to the earlier 60’s germanium Fuzz models, very high HFE values what makes them more sensitive to radio interferences, more noisy and sometimes a bit harsh sounding. Handmade boards made out of vulcanized fiberboards, each eyelet is pressed by hand as with the good old tube amps. Only cloth wiring, handmade battery contacts made out of the remains of empty batteries, fiberboard and cloth wire (upcycling).

Pre selected by perfect measured values and matched by ear pairs of NOS Mullard transistors combined with selected NOS and high-end parts, makes each Haze69Fuzz unique and reliable for professional usage. A pedal that is very sensitive to the players fingers and attack, acting more like an instrument as *just* another pedal in the signal chain. Great clean- and breakup, shiny and sparkly clean tones, classy rhythm and legendary Fuzz tones that won’t decay, crumble or sound like a saw. The Haze69 Fuzz has one of the tightest cleanups so far. Combining best of both worlds, a germanium Fuzz-like feel and sound but not sensitive to temperatures, makes the Haze69 Fuzz a secret weapon for any live playing artist. All enclosures are carefully painted, screen printed and aged by hand. Each is unique!

LUXE 66 FUZZ

The Luxe is special in every way. A combination of matched by ear NOS 1950’s Telefunken TFK OC glass with NOS Newmarket NKT12 germanium transistors that were never used in a pedal this way before which makes it even more unique! In front of a pretty clean sounding amp, it’s something in between a germanium boost/drive with fuzzy top-end but as soon as you crank the amp, the Luxe66Fuzz turns into a fuzz-legend. The volume control is responsible for the overall output level while the clarity knob is focused on the transistors amplification. This is what happened when I plugged it in the first time: volume & clarity interact like pre and master volume on a good old tube amp. If you crank the volume knob and roll back the clarity control and vice versa, or crank everything, it offers many tonal options. The Fuzz knob acts more like a tone control and doesn’t kill the amount of fuzz when turned down.

That means, to the left you have less treble and to the right the most.
Some people also call the Luxe66 Fuzz an *enhancer* because if you turn the pedal all the way up, roll back your guitars volume to 3 – 5, a better, fresher and *cleaner* sounding signal is achieved compared to the amp sound before.
Same as the big versions of the Haze67 Fuzz and Haze69 Fuzz, the Luxe66 Fuzz has a completely made by hand vulcanized fiberboard, selected and matched by ear NOS and high-end components. Painted and screen printed by hand, this Luxe66Fuzz comes with handmade knobs, a handmade transparent baseplate, a hand-sewn bag, a screen printed box and a fair trade, 100% organic, screen printed by hand Isle of Tone canvas T-shirt.

This is truly an invaluable collectors item!

The LUXE66 FUZZ is only available as a PREMIUM MINI or PREMIUM BIG enclosure version.
